I stopped at a yard sale yesterday and came across these cook books for a quarter each!
I had about 6 of them when we were first married and they have some great recipes in them. Looking through and marking recipes that I wanted to try I found my Oven Baked French Toast recipe in it and I always wondered where I got that recipe from!
Yup~ now I know and it only took me 23 years to figure out the source !
(forgive my camera skills on these pics!)
Looking forward to making some tortillas soon~!
I'm NOT a cookbook buyer! In fact, I have an aversion to having any cookbooks with the internet and being able to search out any recipe and cooking tecnique imaginable on the net. I also am trying to avoid clutter in the form of cookbooks or anything else!
But... I could not resist buying these little gems.
Ah.... I'm a happy camper!

What a deal on the cookbooks and how neat that you found the recipe in there for your french toast! That sounds tasty by the way! I am with you though on not buying cookbooks. I have a ton of them I have bought over the years, but with the internet, there is no need for them. I go to Pinterest instead of my cookbooks. I need to get rid of them I guess. Have a blessed Monday!

Oh how fun to find your old recipe in it! I don't have a lot of cookbooks but I do have a couple of favorites. I made tortillas once and they were really good! You'd think I'd make them more, lol!
ReplyDeleteThanks for linking up today.
I used to have a stack of books that was becoming cumbersome every time we moved. ;(
DeleteI need to write down all of my fave recipes so I do make them more frequently!
