When we first were married almost 24 years ago I had an official recipe for this since I was learning how to cook and knew absolutely nothing! (Those were the days!) If I remember correctly, I pulled it out of a Reader's Digest (I read them cover to cover!) from an advertisement for soup or stuffing. I had cooked up some deboned chicken that I made in the crockpot and it popped into my mind.
Easy Peasy! (I say that alot, don't I?)
Deboned Chicken (I bought leg quarters on sale super cheap and used that recently)
Cream of Mushroom or Chicken Soup
Milk
One box of Stuffing made according to box instructions but not baked.

Spray 13 by 9 pan with non stick spray and fill with deboned chicken
Put Cream Soup in a bowl and add a can of milk and whisk well. Pour over Chicken.
Top with Stuffing and bake 350 till hot and bubbly.
I wasn't liking the shabby chic theme I previously chose for my blog layout since I didn't think it jived well with the theme of my blog so I switched it back over to Red... again!!! I also made a new watermark for my blog that I am absolutely loving! Isn't it adorable?

ReplyDeleteThat is one of my family's favorite meals. The only thing I do differently is that I put my stuffing on the bottom of the pan, top with chicken and then pour the soup mixture on top. That way my stuffing stays really moist. My family goes ape for this meal. Such comfort food.
