Basketweave Coffee Cups and Red Tea Towel

I was able to hit my fave thrift store on Monday and came away with a few great things.  I had MUCH more in my basket and started whittling away things the closer I got to the checkout since I've been trying to be very choosy even if something is cheap.  Just becasue something is a good price doesn't mean that I have to have it!
I picked up these 6 basketweave cups for ..39 cents each and love them.  2.40 is such a great price!
They go with the whole red and white theme of my Cottage Kitchen.
When we usually have friends over I'm serving them in these delicate little teacups and one of them mentioned that he was afraid to break them.  Since there were six of these mugs I had to take them home~!

And this sweet red tea towel almost didn't make it to the register but I figured 25 cents was a great price even if it sits on top of my counter.

I love my Sweetheart Red Kitchen!!!

  4. Hi, I'm Holly and (I think) this is my first time here! My guys would like those white cups. I have so many "girly" dishes.

I love red too but then again- I love all colors. Color just makes me happy. ♥

    1. Thanks Shandy! It was this way originally and I like it much better. I changed the font since someone commented it was not easy to read.

  11. Oh, boy! You said, "Just because something is a good price doesn't mean that I have to have it!" My Mister is the exact opposite, unfortunately! Hey, I love your mugs - nice pattern, and great that they go with everything! Let's hear it for red + white kitchens, huzzah!

  15. You had me at "red kitchen". I am a color girl and red is my main accent throughout our little cottage.

I know what you mean that "just because it's cheap, we don't necessarily need it". When we downsized to our little cottage we gave away so much and now we think, "do we really need it" before adding more clutter. Those mugs were a must though.
